'Kits being imported for dengue patients'

LAHORE - Platelets kits are being imported through a special plane from France for the treatment of dengue patients and fumigation is being carried out at union council level to arrest the dengue spread, said MPA Dr Asad Ashraf. During a visit to Ganga Ram Hospital here on Sunday, Dr Asad was apprised that 80 patients had been discharged from the after recovery while presently 21 patients were under-treatment at the hospital. Dr Asad Ashraf inquired from the attendants of the patients about the medical facilities being provided by the hospital upon which they expressed their satisfaction and said that medicines were being provided to them free of cost and the tests of their blood were also being conducted on daily basis. The MS Ganga Ram Hospital informed Dr Asad that a separate ward was allocated for the dengue virus patients and a campaign was being launched for creating awareness among the people about the protection against the disease.
