LGH Neurosciences Institute to be equipped with modern technology

LAHORE - Secretary Health Punjab Fawad Hassan Fawad has said that newly constructed 500-bed Punjab Institute of Neurosciences in Lahore General Hospital would be made a state-of-the-art institution after acquiring latest techniques. He expressed these views during a meeting with a 3-member delegation of American doctors headed by Chairman Department of Neuro Chemistry City University of New York Professor of Neuro sciences Dr Khalid Iqbal here on Sunday. The delegation included Head Neuro Monology Inge Grundke-Iqbal and Executive Director PEP Rudina Zhaferri. Detailed discussions were held during the meeting regarding the facilities being provided to the patients and training to the doctors abroad and other matters. It was agreed in the meeting that an MoU would soon be signed regarding training of Pakistani doctors in America. The Secretary Health informed the meeting that revolutionary measures have been taken for modernizing health department and free of cost medicines are being provided to the patients in hospitals. Later, the delegation visited various sections of Lahore General Hospital and expressed their satisfaction over the provision of medical facilities being extended to the patients.
