OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - PML-Q leader and former federal minister Ishaq Khakwani has said that a group of clean politicians was trying to set up a party that could be a substitute to both the PPP and the PML-N, which he called as corrupt entities. Talking to TheNation on Monday, Ishaq Khakwani saidWe want to make a credible third option. He said his group was very happy over the successful public meeting held by Imran Khan on Sunday. Imran Khan, he said, had caught the imagination of good people. In his opinion, people had turned up at the PTIs public meeting because of the efforts made by Imran Khan. At the same time, he said the 'follies of the PML-N and the PPP had also pushed the people to look towards the PTI. He alleged that the leaders of the two parties had learnt nothing from their exile or detentions and they had no agenda for the people. Mr Khakwani believed that the PTI public meeting would have a bearing on the political scene. About the possibility of his groups cooperation with the PTI, he said the two sides were in contact with each other and had similar views about contesting elections against the PPP and the PML-N.
