LAHORE - Man of the match Ihsanullah batted brilliantly to guide Afghanistan U-19 to a big 69-run victory in the third and last match of the three-match series against Pakistan U-19s here at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. Afghanistan took a flying start and managed to pose 223-9 on the board in 45 overs. Ihsanullah was player of the day as he hammered 70-ball 65 runs laced with 10 fours. The other notable batsmen from Afghanistan were Hazratullah (42), M Sardar (56*), Hazraullah Zazai (42) and Ziaur Rehman (16*) who contributed well in their team’s total. For Pakistan, M Shahabul Khan claimed three wickets for 22 while Aamer Jamal took two for 46 runs. Awais Iqbal and Saud Shakeel got one wicket each.

In reply, Pakistan U-19 team was all out for only 154 runs in 41.3 overs. Only Yousaf Babar (32), Umer Masood (31), Noor Wali (29), Imran Rafiq (20) reached the double figures. For the winners, Ziaur Rehman was successful bowlers who clinched four wickets for 17 runs while Shahidullah bagged 3-34 and Zahir Khan and Rashid Khan one wicket each.
