KARACHI (PR): Aftab Anwar Baloch, Chairman EPZA, held an introductory meeting with a group of top investors operating from Karachi Export Processing Zone so as to know the issues and resolve the same.
The representatives of the companies included Beltexco Ltd, YKK Pakistan, Casual Sportswear, Rija Fashions, Al-Nazeer Nippon Chemicals, Multi Food Industries, Combine industries (Pvt)ltd, Namera Industries, Qalandar industries, SSJD bio Proc, Rida clothing, M/s Muhammad Saeed Muhammad Hussain, Osman International and Insiya Packaging.
Investors drew attention of Chairman EPZA towards issues pertaining to Customs, under & over invoicing, removal of wastage from KEPZ premises and examination of goods. Most of the investors complaint was about recent notices issued by SSGC imposing GST. Chairman informed the investors that he has already taken up the issue with the relevant authorities and the same will be resolved expeditiously. The Zone investors appreciated Chairman EPZA’s interest in resolving issues and expressed hope that a close partnership between EPZA and investors and other stakeholders will prove instrumental in increasing exports from the zone.
