College closed amid threats

MARDAN - Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Army College has been closed after the administration had received threats, sources said yesterday.
Sources added that a few days ago police had killed Farooq Alam a local commander and member of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
They added that a reaction by militants is expected in which they can attack an education institution especially those run by security forces. They said security alerts was issued to different education institutions in this regard. However sources said that the college will be reopened on Monday.
Sources added that the administration also beefed up security of the institution to avert any untoward incident.
