GUJARAT -
The Punjab chief minister is not in favour of devolution of power and successful candidates in local government elections will have to stage a sit-in to wrest power from those at the helm of affairs, Veteran politician and Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said. Talking to media persons after casting his vote in Union Council-3 on Saturday, the Chaudhry of Gujrat alleged that Shahbaz does not like and wants to delegate powers to anyone. “Therefore, those who will succeed in the local government polls will have to stage sit-in to wrest powers,” he explained. He said that the provincial government and the chief minister should immediately give powers and funds to the elected representatives to solve civic issues at grassroots level.
