The local government elections had to be suspended for a brief time in Ward No-1 of UC-6 Gujrat following the death of a presiding officer due to cardiac. Voting was underway at a polling station of Ward No-1, when presiding officer M Sharif suffered heart attack and died on the spot. The polling was stopped. The body of the deceased was despatched to his native town following a post-mortem. – Nation Monitoring
