Islamabad - Shahid Hussain has been awarded PhD degree in Mass Communication. The scholar is a faculty member at the Mass Communication Department of the Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad.
The scholar conducted his PhD research on the new media trends in Pakistan with special focus on media effects on social capital. The dissertation of Dr Shahid Hussain has been evaluated and approved by foreign professors of international repute as well as by national Professors of the subject and declared his thesis as one of the best dissertations produced in the country.
Dr Shahid carries vast experience of teaching and research in Mass Communication at University level. He has also expertise in Public Relations and Advertising. Besides, he also delivers lectures on other mass communication subjects and phenomenon in esteemed public and private sector universities. He has also contributed with his experience in many national and international conferences, seminars and trainings.
Dr. Shahid has authored many research papers, which have been published by national and international research journals of repute. He produced books on Mass Communication as well as contributed chapters.
