LAHORE - Lahore Arts Council Board of Governors Chairman Kamran Lashari yesterday visited the Alhamra Art Gallery, Cultural Complex on the third session of the art training workshops on "Capacity Building and Knowledge Transfer on Preventive Preservation and Basic Conservation of Art in Pakistan" organised by Alhamra Arts Council with funding from the Danish Center for Culture and Development-CKU.

Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Capt (R) Atta Muhammad Khan briefed Lashari about the earlier two successful workshops on art conservation.

Lashari while praising the efforts of the Executive Director and the Director Arts & Culture, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi said that Pakistan gained useful skills and knowledge from the Danish Conservator Mr. Martin Bernsted and this could prove beneficial for better relations between Pakistan & Denmark.

On this occasion he said that now Pakistan will have artists who can preserve and conserve their own art.

The workshops trainer and world renowned conservator, Mr. Martin Bernsted shared his views on his teaching experience and said that it is commendable that the artists in Pakistan want to learn the art of preservation and conservation and Alhamra Arts Council & CKU gave them a platform for this amazing learning opportunity.
