OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - The Afghan national 7s team arrived here on Friday on the invitation of the Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) in conjugation with the start of the Azadi Cup Tournament. The team will take part in the Azadi Rose Petel 7s Cup and will compete with top 12 clubs of Pakistan including Police, Army, Lahore DHA and AIT, MCB, LUMS and BNU. General Secretary Afghan Rugby Federation Omar Aziz, who is also the team manager on this first historic tour for the Afghan side, said: We would like to thank Pakistan Rugby Union for their kind invitation. This is a great opportunity for us and also a beginning of new era for Afghan Rugby Federation as well as a bridge building between two rugby unions.
