OUR STAFF REPORTER AHMEDPUR EAST - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Friday attended the burial of Provincial Parliamentary Secretary on Education and PML-N Bahawalpur District chapter President MPA Chaudhry Mumtaz Ahmed Jajja, who fell prey to dengue fever in Jinnah Hospital Lahore Thursday, in his ancestral graveyard situated in Yezman. The CM was accompanied by Khawaja Saad Rafique and Senior Adviser Sardar Zulfikar Ali Khosa. Shahbaz Sharif prayed for the departed soul and paid rich tributes to late Mumtaz Ahmed Jajja for his services which he had rendered for the party in the era of Musharraf. Earlier, the funeral for the deceased was offered in Bahawalpur. Qul will held on Sunday (tomorrow) at 9:00am at Jajja house Habib Colony Bahawalpur. Late Mumtaz Jajja had also served as Divisional Game Warden Bahawalpur and Chairman Punjab Wild life. He was elected MNA in 1985 non-party general elections and had won MPA seat from Yezman on PML-N ticket in February 2008 general elections. The deceased was close comrade of Ex-Chief Minister Sardar Arif Nakai and remain associated with Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi group in Bahawalpur district politics. Late Ch Mumtaz was nominated as District President PML-N Bahawalpur in 2001, 2005 and 2011.
