Commenting on the prospects of the APC, Mr Qureshi told the journalists that the solidarity exhibited by national leadership during the conference was historic and laudable. The conference has disseminated a strong positive message to the US and entire world, he added. Shah Mahmood was of the opinion that the APC would prove beginning of improvement in the prevailing state of affairs. But the government will have to adopt many other steps in coming days to ensure protection Pakistans interests as well as to reduce tensions with the US, he added. He stressed upon the government to take up the issue of confrontation with America in October 3 meeting of parliamentary committee on national security.
