LAHORE - Chairman of Pakistan Industria & Traders Association Front (PIAF) Sohail Lashari has sstrongly criticised the government for more than 12 hours scheduled and unscheduled load shedding in the industyrial areas and demanded an early solution to energy shortage through equal distribution to all feeders without any discrimination. He was talking to the Chairman of Lahore Township Industries Association Haroon Shafiq Chaudhry, President of Ferozepur Road Industrial Area Shahid Baig, Katar Band Road Industrial Association leader and LCCI EC member Syed Mehmood Ghaznavi and Chairman of Kahna Kacha Link Road Industrial Association Mehmood Akhtar in a meeting on Friday. Sohail Lashari said industrial sector is the main victim of this massive load shedding despite the fact that business community fullfills its national obligations by paying all taxes to the government. He said that one hand load shedding is adding the woes of business community. while the other govt is torturing them by enhancing the electricity tariff. He said that it is a sheer injustice that instead controlling line losses and making arrangements to stop electricity thefts, the authorities were busy in worsening the situation. He said that there is almost no production in the more than 650 industrial units of three industrial eastate and sword of unemployement is hanging on the 80 thousand industrial workers.
