ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday summoned the Inspector General (IG) of police Islamabad and sector commanders of intelligence agencies to appear before the court on Monday if they fail to produce a missing person till then.
A single bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah conducted hearing of a petition moved by a petitioner Muhammad Akram, father of the missing person Muneeb.
During the hearing, Akbar Nasir Khan Inspector General of Police (IGP), Islamabad Capital Territory appeared before the court along with other senior officials. They gave assurance to the court that no stone would be left unturned to trace the whereabouts of the petitioner’s son.
The IHC bench also issued notices to the Ministry of Defence secretary, Ministry of Interior secretary, Inter-Services Intelligence, Intelligence Bureau sector commanders, Military Intelligence and others.
