IHC orders recovery of ‘missing person’ by Monday

ISLAMABAD    -   The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday sum­moned the Inspector General (IG) of police Islam­abad and sector commanders of intelligence agen­cies to appear before the court on Monday if they fail to produce a missing person till then.

A single bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah conducted hearing of a petition moved by a petitioner Muhammad Akram, father of the missing person Muneeb.

During the hearing, Akbar Nasir Khan Inspector General of Police (IGP), Islamabad Capital Terri­tory appeared before the court along with other senior officials. They gave assurance to the court that no stone would be left unturned to trace the whereabouts of the petitioner’s son.

The IHC bench also issued notices to the Minis­try of Defence secretary, Ministry of Interior sec­retary, Inter-Services Intelligence, Intelligence Bureau sector commanders, Military Intelli­gence and others.
