ISLAMABAD Koral Police Islamabad on Tuesday arrested five persons for their alleged involvement in purchasing diesel and petrol of official vehicles from officials of various government departments and recovered hundreds of litres fuel from them during the sudden raids. On a tip off, SP (Rural) Umer Hyat constituted special police team to arrest the persons allegedly involved in purchasing fuel of official vehicles. This team raided in the area of Loi Bher, PWD and Soidran Tarlai and arrested five persons later identified as Nasrullah s/o Muhammad Khalid, Temur Abbass s/o Muhammad Abbass, Qaisar Mehmud s/o Amjad Mehmud, Tanveer Ahmed s/o Muhammad Nazeer and Muhammad Zaman s/o Muhammad Ramzan. Police recovered several drums from them as they used to purchase the diesel or petrol from officials of government department who brout it in these drums. These nabbed persons confessed to sell stolen fuel at their shops openly. Police have registered the case and started investigation from them. The spokesman of the police said that those officials of government departments who sold fuel to them would be traced after investigation from them and their concerned departments would be written to take disciplinary action against them for wasting official resources.
