LAHORE The Punjab Government has given autonomy to 26 colleges across the province, The Nation has learnt. According to the sources, the Punjab Chief Minister granted approval to the summary sent by the Education Department. Now the colleges getting autonomy would work under the guidelines and supervision of Board of Directors. The government has given autonomy to five colleges in Lahore, the same number of institutions in Rawalpindi and two each from remaining divisions of the province. The colleges getting autonomy in the provincial metropolis include M A College, Scince College Wahdat Road, Civil Lines College, Cooper Road College for Women and Samanabad College for Women.
