LAHORE - A protest demonstration against the killing of six Punjabis, killed in Balochistan the other day, was held here on Thursday. The protestors also marched from Regal Chowk to Punjab Assembly raising slogans against the government. The rally was led by Chairman Protectors of Humanity Nazir Hussain Samar. The heirs of the deceased were also present on the occasion. Protestors held placards and banners with slogans asking Chief Minister Punjab to break the silence and give financial help to the victims heirs. Addressing on the occasion, Samar said that Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi, and Pukhtun are one. Nobody has the right to kill other and the killers should be hanged. He asked the Chief Justice to take notice of the incident to arrest the culprits as well as financially help the relatives of the innocent victims. He also said that pre-emptive measures should be taken against such crimes. Samar said that the state enemies should be dealt strictly otherwise parochialism will get rise to make things more complicated. If no preventives measures are taken, it would be very difficult to control the situation. The extremist elements want to spread anarchy in the country to weaken the state. He asked the CM and Governor Punjab to condemn the killings and start investigations into the issue to bring the criminals to justice.
