BAJAUR AGENCY - Thirty more Taliban insurgents handed over themselves to the government authorities in Mamon tehsil of Bajaur Agency. The surrendered militants were presented in front of media where tribal leaders and high-ups of the security forces were present. Talking to reporters, the surrendered militants vowed that they would not to become a part of any conspiracy against Pakistan. They said that other militants induced them by heavy packages but later they thought that militant activities were against the country and the nation and that was the reason that they decided to surrender. Meanwhile, the security forces during a search operation recovered huge cache of weapons and ammunition, which included AK-47 riffles, rockets, mortar shells and remote-controlled devices. Briefing the journalists, In-charge Military Operation Lieutenant Colonel Amjad Iqbal told that search operation was launched in Lara, Maha, Kaga, Zagai and Bandri areas of Mamond tehsil. In another incident, two persons were injured when a roadside remote-controlled device went off in the late hours of Monday. Two persons including Malik Satana Gul and Maulvi Abdul Wahab injured in the attack.
