LAHORE Pakistans well-known boxer Muhammad Waseem have stormed into the semi-final stage thus confirming bronze medal for Pakistan in the Sports Accord Combat Games boxing event in Beijing, China. According to information received here from Beijing, 71 top boxers in AIBA ranking took part in the event from 15 countries that includes Pakistan, Algeria, Latonia, Tajikistan, Jordan, China, Poland, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Maqdonia, Walls, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Dominica Republic. Five Pakistani boxers were taking part in the games, four boxers failed to register a win and they have lost there quarter-final bouts. Mohib Ullah was given tough fight by his opponent Herrad Juan from Dominica Republic in 49 kgs weight category but Pakistani boxer failed by the score 7-8 in third and final round. Aamer Khan lost against Jenkklins Chirostopher from Walls by the score of 4-15 and third Pakistani boxer Nisar Khan lost to Jafaev Navrrow from Tajikistan. Fourth Pakistani boxer Tariq Zia also lost his bout against Kyrgyzstani opponent. Muhammad Waseem is the only Pakistani boxer who won a bout in quarter-final and now he would secure at least a bronze medal.
