LAHORE - Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed of the Lahore High Court Tuesday called for reply from the Punjab secretary law to a petition filed to seek a direction to the government for issuing notification for the appointment of as many as 135 assistant district attorneys. The petition has been filed by Mahmood and others, contending the said would-be assistant district attorneys had qualified the test for their appointment but the notification in this regard was not being issued by the authorities. They prayed to the court to take note of it and direct the law department to issue notification. The court has called for a reply to the petition on September 2 next.
