Zardari asks PPP activists to donate blood for injured

ISLAMABAD - Condemning the use of force against media persons, women and children, former president and PPP Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari has asked the government to allow supply of water and food to the protesters.
According to PPP media cell, Zardari once again stressed the need for dialogue to resolve the issue. He also asked the party workers to reach hospitals and donate blood to the injured. He directed former MNA and MD Baitul Mal Zamurad Khan to coordinate visits and blood donation for those who are injured and lying in hospitals.
Earlier, Zardari telephoned PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and inquired about the health of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. He condemned the firing of tear gas shell at the PML-Q president.
Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik in a statement asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to try to break the deadlock by demonstrating political farsightedness. He stressed the need for finding a middle way to get out of the situation. He said clashes between police and demonstrators are not in the interest of the country.
