Former PCB chairman Ijaz Butt finally broke his silence on the spot-fixing affair and demanded serious action against former captain Salman Butt .

According to BBC Urdu, Ijaz said, “Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir and Salman Butt have served their sentences in England, but Pakistan should also impose some punishment on them and the board shoudn't allow the former captain to represent Pakistan again.”

Ijaz was heading the PCB at the time of the spot-fixing scandal in 2010. He said that Asif and Amir should be kept under strict watch for a time period of at least six months.

“Butt was the central figure and he also pressurized Amir to get involved in spot-fixing,” Ijaz said.

“Salman should not be allowed to play cricket in any case.”

“I would have banned Butt,” he added.
