Indian trap

Mr Prime Minister Agreed that there should be peace with India and we must have a friendly Afghanistan. But for heavens sake recall what the two of them have being doing jointly to destabilise Pakistan. India is involved in supporting on-going insurgency in Balochistan. Afghan leader has never spared any opportunity to blame Pakistan for all ills in his country and issuing statements to please his American masters. Given these ground realities, your sojourn to Mohali and what you said and discussed there is raising eye-brows. You did not utter a word on Kashmir while being on the Indian soil nor did this core issue ever come up for discussion during the interior secretary level talks and later during your interaction with your counterpart. It is general perception that recent talks in New Delhi and Mohali were held on Indian agenda. Kashmiri leaders Syed Ali Geelani of All Parties Hurriat Conference and Mir Waiz Umer Farooq of Muslim Conference had warned you before you embarked upon your journey to India that Dr Manmohan Singhs invitation to you to witness Semi-Final in Mohali is to hoodwink the world community that all is well between the two South Asian neighbours. Mr Prime Minister How can you term your interaction with Dr Manmohan Singh as a win-win situation for Pakistan and India? Would you like to share with the nation as to what has India conceded that benefits Pakistan? Has India agreed to release water into our rivers as provided in the Indian Basin Treaty? Has India expressed its willingness to stop state sponsored terrorism imposed on un-armed and innocent Kashmiri people? What otherwise is such a big achievement that you have made during your (according to you) thought provoking meeting with Indian leadership? We are sure that you would not like to respond to either of these questions. But the nation is wiser now and they know the answers to these otherwise very sensitive questions. Mr Prime Minister By submitting to Indian designs, you are fast departing from the known Kashmir policy of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his daughter Benazir Bhutto. Be mindful of various voices here including retired generals that India is applying delaying tactics to keep the Kashmir issue on the back burner.
