LAHORE - The caretaker Punjab government besides closing the 1-Club and 3-Club offices on Monday sent the consultants and officers appointed on contract by the previous regime packing.

Sources in the chief minister secretariat told that the staff and fleet of vans also returned back to the concerned departments.

The consultants and officers relieved of their duties include Rafih Alam, Sibtain Fazal Haleem, Raja Muhammad Anwer, Imran Amjad, Dr Muhammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Qutab, Kamran Lashari and others.

Auction: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will auction 58 plots tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10.00am at LDA Community Centre, New Muslim Town.

According to a spokesman, these plots include 38 commercial plots situated in Johar Town, Model Town Extension Scheme, Mustafa Town and Gujjarpura Scheme, three residential plots situated in F-One Block Johar Town and 17 residential plots of Venus Housing Scheme, Ferozepur Road, Lahore, (an approved private housing scheme).

He said parties interested in participating in the auction shall have to deposit earnest money (refundable) for each plot in the form of cash/bank draft/ pay order in favour of Director General, LDA, before the commencement of auction, at the booth of National Bank of Pakistan, established on the spot.

The highest bidder shall have to deposit the 1/3rd cost of plot after the closing of auction or within seven days of auction, failing which the earnest money deposited by him/ her shall be forfeited in favour of LDA, he added.

The successful bidder shall have to deposit the 2/3rd balance cost of plot within 30 days of the approval of his bid by the competent authority inclusive of holidays.

However, the competent authority may allow 30 days extension in this time period provided the successful bidder applies for seeking this relaxation within seven days before the lapse of first 30 days and provides plausible justification for the delay.
