LAHORE – Like the previous year, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Lahore chapter will organise marathon on Sunday, April 7, in collaboration with Mortein.

This year, the marathon is dedicated to eradicate dengue virus.

The slogan of marathon is:“Kadam Barhao, Dengue Bhagao”.

Organizers will provide free T-shirts to all participants, breakfast for children, free tea for everyone, live music program, giveaways to special people and certificates for all the winners.

Last year, over 4000 people from various walks of life and age groups participated in the marathon runs 05 miles starting and ending at Race Course Park, Lahore.

New course:  College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has started 40-day new course for Basic Medical Sciences at its Regional Center Lahore on Monday.

Vice President CPSP Prof Rakhshanda Rehman will supervise the course attended by 30 participants from across the province. Director General International Relations CPSP Prof Khalid Masood Gondal inaugurated the course.

Addressing the participants, he said that special lectures would be delivered on Physiology, Haematology, Gynaecology, Microbiology, Histology and Pharmacology. Prof A S Chughtai is acting as Course Director.

The faculty includes Prof Tasneem Raza, Prof Attiya Khalid, Prof Firdous Sultan, Prof Raffea Tafweez Qureshi, Prof Nabila Kaukab, Prof Hamid Javed Qureshi, Prof Hajira Fiaz Khan, Prof Shahnaz Aftab, Prof A R Shakoori, Prof Nauman Malik, Brig Rizwan Hashim, Prof Rubina Hafeez, Prof Samina Zaman, Prof Ayesha Hameed.
