PESHAWAR - The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday announced its provincial manifesto of the party, claiming if the PPP came into power in the province, would create 20,000 new vacancies and resolve loadshedding issue within two years.

Unveiling the manifesto, PPP KPK President Anwar Saifullah Khan said that people of the province pinned high hope on the PPP, as they considered it that the party could resolve their problems. He said that the PPP would end energy crisis in the province within two years, if they came into power.

He said that the economy of KPK would be strengthened by involving private sector, saying private sector would be encouraged, while gas resources would be utilised to overcome loadshedding in the Southern districts.

“In Malakand and Hazara divisions, water will be used for hydel power generation and small dams,” he said, adding that education, health and energy sectors would be prioritised if the PPP elected to power.

He said that Rs2,000 would be given to deserving people under the income support programme, while more steps would be taken for the empowerment of women folk.

He said that to compensate terrorism victims, a special fund would be established in the province.

He asked party workers to accept the decision of Parliamentary Board of the party in awarding tickets to candidates. He said that negotiations were on for seats’ adjustment with other parties.

To mobilise party workers for coming elections, central leadership of the party would organise at least four to five huge public gatherings in the Southern districts, Malakand, Peshawar and Hazara division.
