ISLAMABAD - Intense rain and hailstorm griped Islamabad and Rawalpindi, after a sudden change in the weather, bringing jubilation to the dwellers of the areas.In the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, hailstorm is being experienced by the residents of the areas. In the vicinity of Rawalpindi adjacent areas, torrential rains have brought a change in the entire metrological conditions.The upper parts of the country including the twin cities received rain and hail. The rain, cloud cover and the chilly winds turned the weather cold and pleasant. According to spokesperson of Pakistan Met Office, a few parts of the twin cities including Sector H-8, Chaklala area and outskirts near Muree received hailstones that spread all over the roads. He said the chilly winds and rain may turn the nights colder and will delay the summer season. The pollen count that was already low due to rain its quantity has reduced as rain reduce the pollen count by washing pollen from the air, and by the next week the pollen season will end almost that is a good news for allergy patients. Physician digestive diseases at department of Gastroenterology of PIMS Dr. Waseem Khawaja informed about 60 to 70 patients with complaints of gastroenteritis and other health issues related to contamination in food and water have been visiting the emergency department daily. 

And rain can increase the number of patients as due to rain sewage water often mixes with the water supply lines.
