Notice to AGP, AG Punjab in missing person case

ISLAMABAD  - A two-member bench of the Supreme Court Tuesday issued notices to Attorney General of Pakistan and the Advocate General Punjab in the enforced disappearance of Habib-ur-Rehman.
Habib had gone missing from the Combined Military Hospital, Sialkot, on March 13, 2011 and an FIR was registered against his disappearance on April 29, 2011 in Police Station Cantt, Sialkot. Amna Masood Janjua, Chairperson Defence of Human Rights, informed the court that Habib-ur-Rehman was from the list of 325 missing persons. She also said she had submitted a petition 1262 in 2012 that contained the list of 325 missing persons but her application had been pending in the court since then.
The bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk expressing concern issued the notice to Attorney General Salman Butt and the Advocate General Punjab to appear on April 8, 2014.
