Drama festival to project soft image of Pakistan

Provincial Minister Excise & Taxation, Information and Culture Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman has said that the cultural and educational activities like Unique drama festival on peace, tolerance and harmony would help in projecting image of the country in the world.

Addressing the Awards Night of the 4th Unique Drama Festival 2017 by the Punjab School Education Department here on Sunday, the minister said it is the duty of every school of thought to promote the ideals of peace, tolerance and harmony in the country, adding that the drama festival was in line with the government’s policy to eradicate extremism from the country.

Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister Rana Muhammad Arshad, Lord Mayot Lahore Col (R) Mubashar Javed, Transport Minister AJK NasirHussain Dar, Asghar Nadeem Syed and Dr Mujahid Mansoori were the other guests at the closing day of the drama festival.

The Information and Culture minister appreciated the younfgstudents and participating schools for excellent dramatic presentation on the theme of peace, tolerance and harmony, adding that it was the right age to create awareness among the younger generation.

Two plays ‘Sab se pehley Pakistan’ and ‘Kuch Lamhay Aagahi Ke’ were performed during the Awards Night besides the musical performances by the students.
