CNICs of over 300 POs blocked in Peshawar

Peshawar   -  Capital city police have blocked the computerised national identity cards of more than 300 proclaimed offenders, said a police spokesman on Thursday.

The police said that members of a special team were in contact with the NADRA authorities for blocking the CNICs of the outlaws. 

The spokesman said that the Peshawar Police Chief Ahsan Abbas and SSP Operations Yasir Afridi had directed the subordinates to expedite actions against the outlaws. 

He said the cops had also been directed to take actions against people involved in aerial firing, and so far the police had arrested 303 people in aerial firing cases. 

He said police social media team monitored the digital platforms and took action against those who displayed weapons online.
