PML-N to show cards at appropriate time

Balig says Article 245 has nothing to do with Azadi march

AHMEDPUR EAST - Minister of State for Interior and Education Engineer Balighur Rehman has said that the federal government decision to hand over Islamabad to Army by invoking Article 245 of the Constitution has nothing to do with the PTI’s proposed Azadi March. He, however, warned that the government would not allow anyone to take law into hands.
He expressed these views while talking to newsmen at the residence of Senior Journalist Ehsan Ahmed Sehar where he came to condole the death of his maternal nephew Farooq Ahmed Khan Sherwani and offered Fateha for the departed soul. Advocate Ejaz Ahmed Khan and PML-N leaders Shahid Iqbal, Shahid Abdullah, Tariq Rashid Malik, Aslam Qureshi and Nadeem Wattoo were also present on the occasion. Balighur Rehman said that Imran Khan was an immature and non-serious politician who instead of assisting IDPS of North Waziristan went to the United Kingdom to get funds for ‘Azadi March.’ He asked Imran to donate these funds for IDPs of the North Waziristan. The State Minister added that Imran Khan’s charges of rigging in election 2013 were baseless as he was also part of those consultations which finalized the name of Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Fakharuddin G Ibrahim.
Commenting on Azadi March, Balighur Reman claimed that due to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government policies to strengthen Pakistan’s economy, Imran Khan felt that his old dream to become prime minister after the completion of tenure of PML-N regime would not be fulfilled. Hence he has been trying to derail democracy but his ill-designs will be foiled. Responding to a query that If Imran Khan took out Azadi March and tried to hold a public meeting in Islamabad on 14th August without government approval, he said that the government would show its cards at that time so wait and see. He also lashed at PAT Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri and said that he would leave for Canada again as he understands that there was no chance to bring his so-called revolution. The State Minister said that in Pakistan any revolution was possible only through democratic norms.  He said that Imran Khan had also backed military operation Zarb-e-Azab so he should be aware that terrorists could hit his ‘Tsunami march’ on August 14.
Replying another question, he told newsmen that dilapidated road from Chowk Abbasia to Railway station Dera Nawab Sahib would be constructed this year for which on the request of PML-N MPA Qazi Adnan Farid he has contacted the Punjab Chief Ministers secretariat to fulfil the old demand of citizens of Ahmedpur East.
He appreciated the efforts of MPA Adnan Farid for the uplift of his backward constituency and termed him a dedicated and honest public representative. Balighur Rehman urged philanthropists of Bahawalpur division to come forward and donate to Chief Minister Punjab’s account for IDPS.
