Preserving the ecosystem

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started construction on its Signal free Islamabad Expressway project without getting a No Objection certificate from The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency. The new development may reduce the traffic jams a little but at the cost of almost 300 fully grown trees. Cutting these trees that have benefited the residents of Islamabad for more than decades is contributing a lot in the destruction of the ecosystem.
Islamabad is considered a beautiful capital and is famous for its natural beauty and greenery that is being destroyed, instead of being preserved. New plantation can never replace the old natural beauty as it takes a lot of time and care for a plant to become a tree. People and the Government must focus upon preserving the ecosystem of Islamabad to avoid destruction of the capital famous for its natural beauty.
