Rawalpindi - Rawalpindi Arts Council started Independence Day celebrations while holding a flag rally ‘Salam Pakistan’ yesterday.

The rally was attended by scores of people including children, women, students, artists, and intellectuals.

Nadeem Ahmed Khan led the rally. The people paid tribute to leaders of Pakistan Freedom Movement and prayed for the integrity and prosperity of the country.

Khubaib Foundation, Actors Foundation, Shabistan and Rialto Theatre cooperated a lot for organising of the flag rally. Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed on the occasion said that different programmes have been arranged to celebrate Independence Day.
