PML-N leaders meet Nawaz, Maryam at Adiala Jail

Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) arrived at Adiala Jail on Thursday to meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

Among the leaders who visited were former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal,  former foreign minister Khawaja Asif, former special assistant on foreign affairs to the PM Tariq Fatemi and former information minister Marriyum Aurengzeb were scheduled to meet Nawaz and Maryam on the prisoners meeting day, which is observed on Thursdays.

Former governor Sindh Mohammad Zubair, Khurram Dastgir, and other leaders including Saira Afzal Tarar, Chaudhary Tanvir, Javed Hashmi and Pervaiz Rasheed also reached Adiala Jail to meet the PML-N quaid.

Moreover, Nawaz’s younger brother and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to meet Nawaz Sharif and his daughter today before attending the all-parties conference summoned by an alliance of opposing parties today in Islamabad. 

Earlier, Nawaz was moved back to Adiala Jail from hospital on Tuesday evening after doctors informed about an improvement in his health. He had been hospitalized at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad two days ago after he fell sick inside the jail.
