US drones keep invading Pakistan with gay abandon. Prime Minister, meanwhile, daily assures us of protecting our national sovereignty. Of and on, the US ambassador is called to lodge a protest but to no avail. Is there any value of Prime Minister's daily statements to the media, or even to the Parliament? All power vests in the President who makes decisions only in his own vested interest. A President, in a parliamentary form of government, is not supposed to hold a party office to ensure his non-partisanship but this one does; he happens to be co-chairperson of the ruling party. -J.P.
