Bhuttos faced challenges bravely

OUR STAFF REPORTER MUZAFFARGARH - The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Muzaffargarh chapter celebrated the partys 45th foundation day by arranging a programme at the residence of PPP District President Ashiq Khan Baloch PPP leaders Malik Mazhar Pahor, Zubaidus Islam Khan Sharwani, Sardar Zaffarullah Khan Laghari, Ayub Heera and other office-bearers were also present at the ceremony which was presided over by Syed Azhar Hussain Bukhari. Syed Azhar Hussain threw light on the day when Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto formed the PPP on November 30, 1967. This year, however, the celebration has been postponed in the respect of the holy month of Muharram. The party leaders and workers paid tributes to PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and assassinated leader Benazir Bhutto on the occasion. They said that the Bhutto family faced challenges one after the other, nevertheless, they faced each of the national issues intelligently. Paying glowing tributes to the workers and leaders of the PPP for their relentless struggle and matchless sacrifices they have rendered for the cause of democracy. The speakers said that 'Bhuttoism was a philosophy of empowerment of the downtrodden and the under-privileged sections of the society. They stated that by founding PPP, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave a message that the masses were the real stakeholders in the system and they needed to be made master of their destiny. PPP Muzaffargarh city also held a meeting to pay rich tributes to martyrdoms of PPP leaders and workers who laid down their lives for the cause of the party. At the occasion, MNA Jamshed Khan Dasti, Perzada Abdul Ali Zakir Usmani, Provincial council member Amir Nawaz Comrade, Zubaidus Salam Khan said that Bhuttoism remained as relevant today as it was about 45 years ago and it gave people hope in the face of the heavy odds by enabling them to brave the worst storms of dictatorship and tyrannical rule with resilience and optimism. The PPP local leaders said socio-economic justice, equality of opportunities, empowerment, and rule of law are the core ingredients of the philosophy espoused by ZAB.
