OUR STAFF REPORTER WARBURTON - A professional development day for primary school teachers was held here at Government High School Warburton City, under the supervision of Lahore Directorate of Staff Development (DSD) and Nankana Sahib District Training and Support Centre (DTSC). From all over the Warburton circle, primary school teachers participated in the event. District teacher educators (DTEs) Nasir Ali, Shahbaz Hussain, and Muhammad Shahzad explained the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Framework along with problems faced by PSTs while teaching subjects of Science, Maths and English. Najeeb Arif appreciated the unmatched facilities provided for effective the event by the CTSC. Cluster for Training and Support Centre (CTSC) head Javed Ashraf Shooka welcomed the PSTs and DTEs in his welcome address, and shared his experience with PSTs to overcome job problems. DTSC head Wasim Ahmad Khan visited the CTSC, and emphasised the events objectives and explained the CPD Framework for the best utilization of Curriculum, Taleemi Calendar and Teacher guides. EDO (Education) Tariq Rafiq, DEO (SE) Rai Liaqat Ali and DEO (EE) Shabbir Ahmad appreciated the PSTs for their participation. Security plan evolved for Ashura: Nankana Sahib District Coordination Officer Hassan Iqbal held an emergency meeting with government officials and notable citizens at the Warburton Rural Health Centre on Tuesday. SHO Warburton Mukhtar Ali Alvi briefed the participants about foolproof security plan he designed with the approval of the DPO. The Nankana Sahib DCO asked the government officials and citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with the district government for peace in Ashura days. He also advised the RHC medical superintendent to be alert for any emergency.
