FIFA Elite Referees Course begins

LAHORE The seven-day FIFA Member Association Elite Referees Course commenced here at the PFF Football House on Thursday. As many as 45 Pakistan football referees, instructors and assessors will be involved in the intense training while the course is being hosted by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in association with world governing body for football FIFA. Masoud Enayat, Iranian FIFA Technical Instructor, and Ganesh Manium, Singaporean FIFA Physical Instructor, will train the trainees. The objective of the course is to enhance the local referees knowledge of the game and to effect greater uniformity and higher standards of performance at the regional and international levels. In the welcome address, PFF secretary Lt Col (retd) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi said: I hope the FIFA elite instructor will share their knowledge and experience with the locals during this course to enhance their skill and make our referees, instructor and assessors professional, practical and ambassador of fair play and will become active PFF stakeholders for the promotion of football in Pakistan.
