Our Staff Reporter SARGODHA Students of research from all teaching departments must derive their hypothesis from Quran, said University of Sargodha (UOS) Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Akram Chaudhry. He was addressing a Hifz Conference which was held in honour of students from all departments who had got admission on the basis of Hifz-e-Quran. He said that it is only the Holy Quran which is studied and read regularly, frequently in maximum number as compared to other religious books in the world. He further said that it covers all fields of human life including Botany, Geology and Zoology. He said that the University of Sargodha was the only institute of higher education, where maximum number 535 Hafiz students were getting free education in all academic disciplines. He expressed that Holy Quran is undoubtedly the source of auspiciousness and blessings but this Holy Book has also the constitutional status for human beings. He said though Hafiz-e-Quran linked to various faculties but they could get guidance from Holy Quran even toward their subjects. Because of the fact that this Holy Book narrates all the knowledge concerned to human life. The VC further expressed that the West struggled since hundreds of years to find out inward universal facts, but the Holy Quran had already brought out these facts 1400 years ago. Dr Akram Ch suggested in his address to all students to learn Arabic because it is the language of Quran and it was easy to understand. He said that western and anti-Islam lobbies always tried to criticise Quran and the repute of Holy Quran just to weaken Muslims faith. As Muslims and defender of Quran we should play our role to produce rational replies to the questions put against the Quran by its critics, said the VC. Hifz-i-Quran Committee Chairman Prof Fazle Haq also addressed the students gathering. He said that the admissions of Hafiz in UoS were made on merit. A large number of Hafiz and other students and faculty members attended the ceremony.
