LAHORE A 20-year-old youth was gunned down by another youth over a petty issue in Misri Shah Police limits on Thursday. Police investigators said the deceased identified as Imran was a labourer by his profession and a resident of Muhammadi Sultanpura, Misri Shah. They said a couple of days ago, Imran snubbed another youth namely Usman alias Sham Butt and rebuked him from standing in front of his (Imran) home. However, the neighbouers intervened and reconciled them timely. Here on Thursday, both of the youths quarreled again and exchanged harsh words with each other. During this brief brawl, Sham Butt opened indiscriminate fires on Imran, resultantly he sustained multiple bullet injuries, said a senior officer, adding the injured youth was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. He, however, said the killer was a notorious criminal and involved in drug peddling for the last several months. Later, police lodged an FIR against the killer with no arrest till filing of this report. DEAD: Two people including a 16-year-old youth succumbed to their injuries, which they suffered during road accidents here in the City on Thursday. A youth namely Ahmed, a workshop worker by profession and a resident of Pindi Rajputana, was hit by a speeding car on Green Town Road and sustained critical injuries. He, however, was shifted to the General Hospital for his medical treatment where he breathed his last. Meanwhile, a 35-year-old Amjad of Kasur also succumbed to his injuries at local hospital on Thursday. The Edhi ambulances removed the dead bodies to the City morgue for autopsies. No case was lodged against anyone so far. Further investigations are underway. Minor: A six-year-old boy, a student of class II, was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified accused person (s) in Misri Shah Police precincts on Thursday. A man, close to the victim family, disclosed that the kidnappers were familiar to the victim family so the family was avoiding sharing information of kidnapper with the police.
