MULTAN - The town is going to get five new parks as the district government approved Rs50 million funds for the project on Thursday.

Sources said that the parks would be set up at Bosan Road telephone exchange, Bohar Gate, Muzaffarabad Railway Station, Toya Kani Wala and Socila Welfare Complex Matti Tal areas and their development would be done within just one month time.

The district government sources said that the Parks and Horticulture Authority had been given the task to set up the park and funds for this purpose had also been released. A meeting chaired by the DCO also took place on Thursday to finalize the project during which the Director General of Parks and Horticulture Authority Kausar Khan was given the task to develop the parks as soon as possible.

The parks will have facilities like play land, jogging tracks and restaurants to offer maximum recreation to the citizens. The PHA sources said that the services of companies with good repute and the landscaping experts had been hired for the parks and they would be completed within one month.
