LAHORE - Pakistani businessmen need to focus on increasing exports of the country.

Ibrahim Qureshi, a senior official of All Pakistan Business Forum (APBF), stated this while talking to APP here on Thursday. He said in the wake of the emerging opportunities of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), maximum patronage from concerned institutions from both the countries was needed to identify potential investment opportunities and develop linkages between Chinese and Pakistan business sectors.

He said some parts of China were offering special incentives for Pakistan entrepreneurs. "Incentives and opportunities are available for Pakistani businesses and brands to open up their shops and businesses at Jiaxing City near Shanghai," he said. Such opportunities should be taped and maximum benefits should be obtained from them, he added.

He said: "China is a sincere friend of Pakistan and both the countries are working to transform their long lasting friendship into a strategic business and commercial relationship."

"The CPEC is one of important example of it," he added.

He said this was high time for Pakistani businessmen to play their role for increasing foreign exchange reserves of the country.
