LAHORE - Two deputy superintendents of police were dismissed on the charges of corruption.  IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera fired two DSPs of Sheikhupura traffic region, Zahid Abbas Khawaja and Naeem-ul-Hasnain for issuing bogus driving licenses. The police chief awarded the major punishment to the officers after allegations of corruption proved true against them.

In a press statement issued from the central police office, IGP Sukhera has warned his force that there is no place for corrupt and incapable officials in the department. The officials who don’t care the honor and dignity of the uniform do not deserve to be part of the police force, the police chief said. “Honest, hardworking, and diligent police officers and officials are pride of police department while a few black sheep are defaming the police force and causing hurdles in serving the citizens.”
