Foreign reserves decline by $250m

KARACHI:- The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $23,614.8 million on November 25, 2016. The weekly break-up of the foreign reserves position on Thursday showed that foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) stood at $18,574.8 million and net foreign reserves held by commercial banks are $5,040.0 million, which led total liquid foreign reserves to $23,614.8 million. During the week ending November 25, 2016, the country’s total reserves decreased by $250 million.–Staff Reporter

 The decrease in reserves was on account of external debt servicing and other official payments.
