Indian LoC violations to be responded with full force: Gen Bajwa

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday said that any violation along the Line of Control (LoC) will be responded with full force in the most effective manner.

Lt-Gen Malik Zafar Iqbal, commander of the 10 Corps, received the army chief on his arrival at Corps Headquarter and later accompanied him during his visit to the Line of Control.

Speaking to troops on the occasion, General Bajwa said Indian aggressive posture solely aims to divert attention of the world from atrocities being committed by their troops in Indian-held Kashmir.

The army chief said that core issue of Kashmir will have to be resolved between the two countries in line with UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of Kashmir, for lasting peace in the region.

On the occasion, General Bajwa was given a detailed briefing about prevailing security situation along the Line of Control in view of recent violations and escalation by Indian troops

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief appreciated troops for their operational readiness and befitting response given to unprovoked Indian firing in violation of cease fire agreement.
