LAHORE - The Lahore Regional Cricket Association (LRCA) has announced the trials schedule of East, North and West Zone Cricket Associations for upcoming Inter-District U-19 Cricket Tournament Lahore Region 2017-18.
According to LRCA spokesman Abid Hussain, North Zone trials will be held on Dec 4, West Zone on 5th and East Zone on 6th here at LCCA ground. “Two-member selection committee comprising a concerned zonal representative and one LRCA assistant coach will conduct the trials. Tariq Naseer will represent North Zone, Sardar Nahshad Ahmed West Zone and Hafeezur Rehman East Zone as zonal selector. However, LRCA assistant coach Saud Ahmed Khan will be other member of the selection committee, who will conduct selection process along with zonal representatives,” he added.
He said the players born on or after September 1, 1998 were eligible to participate in the trials and such players, who had completed their three terms of participation in U-19 cricket would not be allowed to appear in the trials. “After initial trials, medical test will be conducted of all shortlisted players of all zones. The players, who will successfully clear the medical test, will be considered for final selection.
“Two 20-member teams of each zone will be selected, which will play against each other in Inter-District U-19 Cricket Tournament 2017-18, expected to be held in first week of January 2017 in Lahore Region,” he added.
