ISLAMABAD - Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan yesterday said that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan should shun the politics of baseless allegations and present proofs in the court regarding the Panama Leaks.
He claimed that Imran Khan had failed to submit any proof before the court in the Panama Papers case which showed his allegations were false.
Addressing a news conference along with Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha here, the minister said Imran Khan’s negative politics was a hindrance in the path of progress and development of the country.
He said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project was delayed for eight months due to sit-in of PTI in Islamabad.
Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha said baseless allegations of money laundering could not be proved in the court as well.
He said that it is the Supreme Court to decide the case not Imran Khan. “The lawyers of Imran Khan are taking u-turns on the case. One of PTI lawyers withdrew himself from pleading the case due to weak evidences,” he maintained. He said PTI also failed to present any proof regarding the allegation of loans write-off. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had presented his family for accountability.
