VEHARI :  The Punjab government has allocated Rs722 million for the upgradation of District Headquarters Hospital Vehari.

“The new building of DHQ has been completed. It has all the facilities and equipments regarding healthcare. Machinery is about to be installed. The Punjab chief minister will inaugurate the new health complex very soon,” said DCO Akbar Ali Bhatti.

He added that the capacity of DHQ had increased from 325 to 400 beds after the completion of new complex. It consists of 35-bed emergency ward, blood bank, X-ray rooms, medical rooms, surgical rooms, medical rooms, laboratory, ultra sounds, ECG and CT scan rooms, operation theatre, ICU, doctors rooms, private rooms, store, wards, laundry, AC plant, and generator.

 

New lawyers’ group formed

VEHARI:  Before the District Bar Association election, a new group namely Democratic Lawyers Forum has come into being.

Majority of senior lawyers of DBA Vehari have joined it and unanimously declared to fight against the status quo. They affirmed that the determination to give true services between Bar and Bench. On the occasion, senior lawyers including Shafique Bhatti, Athar Mirza, Ihtishamul Haq, Farooq Ahmed, Zafrullah Khan, Akbar Sultan, Ahmed Yar, Tanvir Bhara, Farooq Langah, Kashif Shah, Sultan Gujjar and Aamir Ali Zain gathered at the residence of DBA member Musawar Abbas Baloch.
