HAFIZABAD -  The district administration reprimanded the headmasters of two state-run schools for non-functioning of computer and science laboratory, indiscipline and poor sanitary conditions.

DCO Ali Randhawa visited the Government Elementary School Mangat Uncha and Government High School Burj Dara. During his surprise visit to the schools, he was much perturbed to see the sad state of affairs and warned that such situation would not be tolerated. He directed the EDO Education and DO Secondary to hold an inquiry against the headmasters.

He said that despite strict monitoring of the schools some head teachers were showing irresponsible attitude. He also took strong action against unlawful occupation of the Basic Health Centres and Veterinary Hospital in Burj Dara and directed ADC to take stern action against the mafia.  ROBBERIES: An Area Manager of State Life Insurance Company was deprived of Rs165,000 near Jhang Branch Canal while a villager was deprived of Rs180,000, gold ornaments, cell phones and other house hold articles worth million of rupees. 

According to police source, Syed Iqbal Hussain Naqvi was returning to his village Madhora Kalan and when he reached Jhang Branch Canal on Sukheke-Pindi Bhattian Road he was intercepted by armed bandits who snatched away the cash and cell phone from him at pistol point.

According to another report, six armed bandits under the guise of policemen barged into the house of Shahid son of Maseetay Khan Gujjar in Kot Nakka village, locked all the occupants in a room and made off with Rs180,000, gold ornaments and other household articles worth million of rupees. The police have registered a case but failed to arrest the accused.
